COVID-19 Family Visits – Aug 28, 2020

Dear Families & Friends of Residents:

We would like to thank all families for your cooperation and understanding as we continue to take care all of your loved ones and manage amidst COVID 19. Please note that we are still not out of this pandemic as the MB province reported the 14th COVID-19 death and 22 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. Preventing COVID-19 from affecting all our staff and all our residents is of utmost priority by management and staff of Park Manor Care. We continue to implement staff self-screening protocol and daily declaration as they come to work. Those who are directly taking care of residents uses PPE. Enhanced disinfecting practices in all frequently visited areas are also being done.

To safeguard our residents and staff, precautionary measures will continue to be implemented as follows:

  • All designated visitors must comply with Infection Prevention and Control measures. This includes strict hand hygiene and maintaining physical distancing (6 feet/2 meters apart) at all times while Indoor visiting.
  • Wearing of mask and face/eye shield are required while visiting indoor/inroom as we do require all our staff directly taking care of residents to wear.
  • If you are not feeing well, please don’t come and visit. Visitors with COVID 19 or flu like symptoms (e.g. dry cough, high temperature, difficulty breathing, severe and new onset headache, etc.) will not be allowed in our facility and should not attempt to visit.
  • When using the yard and the gazeebo we encourage all visitors to maintain social distancing and avoid from chatting to other visitors and staff.

Again, protecting the health and well-being of your loved ones and our staff remains one of our top priorities. We remind each one that you comply with the conditions above to ensure the protection of residents, families and our staff. We hope you will also have patience with us as we continue to implement this unique and complex visitation program within very limited staff resources. If you have any questions on the above, please don’t hesitate to email me or call me at 204-222-3251 Ext.224.

Once again, thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we take every measure to protect you, your loved ones and our staff.

Sincerely,
