INDOOR VISITATION GUIDELINES

Park Manor Care will be opening up the facility to facilitate indoor visits for designated visitors only starting August 4, 2020. 

Recognizing the important role that ongoing connection with family and loved ones plays in the health and well-being of residents, and through the support of Shared Health, Park Manor Care will be opening up the facility to facilitate indoor visits for designated visitors only starting August 4, 2020.  Each POA/substitute decision maker may submit the name of 2 designated visitors that may visit your resident during the specified visitation period.  Only the 2 designated visitors will be allowed inside to visit their specified resident.  Please submit your list of 2 visitors to Ruth Bell, Quality Coordinator, at This email address is being protected from spambots. ALL designated visitors must comply with the following guidelines.  Visitors MUST BE SYMPTOM FREE in order to visit.  Visitors must stay home when sick, even if symptoms are mild. We all have a duty to protect our residents and staff and our community. Please watch for the following: recent onset of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose in addition to other symptoms such as muscle aches, fatigue, headache, diarrhea and vomiting.

Failure to comply with the guidelines outlined below and all directives as per Shared Health will result in a suspension and/or discontinuation of visitation privileges.

VISITING HOURS (no appointment necessary):

Monday to Thursday 1000-1930hrs (visiting hours close promptly at 1930hrs/7:30pm)

Friday 1000-1700hrs

GUIDELINES:

  • All designated visitors shall be screened at the front entrance upon arrival to the facility before entering Park Manor Care
  • All visitors must wear a mask and eye protection upon entering the facility and for the duration of the visit. Visitors are responsible for providing these items.  Masks do not have to be procedure masks.  Eye protection includes safety goggles/glasses, visors, etc.  All visitors are responsible for ensuring their protective equipment is clean
  • All visitors must perform hand hygiene with hand sanitizer provided by Park Manor Care upon entering and exiting the facility
  • All visitors must sign in and out on the visitation log that will be provide by Park Manor Care
  • All visitation must take place in the resident room and/or the park area
  • If a resident resides in a shared room an alternate visiting location may be identified if we are unable to accommodate a visit in the room, e.g. end lounge, as we must maintain appropriate physical distancing requirements
  • All visitors must adhere physical distancing guidelines in relation to staff, residents and other visitors
  • If a visitor is assisting the resident during meal time this will be in the resident’s room or another approved location if the resident is not able to be accommodated in their room
  • Visitors are not permitted to attend therapeutic recreation programs with their resident

NOTES:

  • Outdoor visits will continue by appointment, however, residents are allowed to have up to 4 visitors attending and outdoor visit at one time
  • Virtual visits will continue by appointment
