COVID-19 Outdoor and Indoor Visit

COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Outdoor and Indoor Visit

Greetings from the Management and Staff of Park Manor Care!

We surely thank families who have availed of our Outdoor Visitation. Thank you for the positive comments you have given to staff members who have assisted in making the Outdoor Visits possible. We believe that this has helped our residents be connected with families and enjoy the beauty outdoors. The Management and Staff of Park Manor Care are grateful to all our residents and families for all your understanding and support during these trying times of COVID-19. Outdoor visits are still preferred and encouraged to keep the number of individuals entering the facility to minimum. While COVID-19 activity remains very low in the province, indoor visits are limited to essential care providers only at this time. Essential visitors are close family and/or friends who have a clearly established pattern of involvement in providing care and support to the resident’s emotional wellbeing, health, and quality of life. However, residents need for essential visitors are assessed regularly and plans for these visits are put in place as deemed appropriate."

We care for all our residents, employees, families and all other stakeholders. In the interest of some of our residents who may need to have an indoor visit, we have prepared the First floor South Lounge for that purpose. These scheduled visits will be a limited supplement to outdoor and virtual visits, which will continue, and are not a return to normal. Visitors must follow current Public Health recommendations and Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C) guidelines including screening, hand hygiene, infection prevention and control practices and physical distancing. Visitors are required to bring and wear masks for the duration of the visit. We allow families to bring food items to be brought for the resident. However, it should be placed in a container that is possible to be disinfected and sanitized. Please note that these items are not to be shared with other resident.

We continue to thank you for entrusting your loved ones to our care and appreciate your cooperation to these measures during this continually evolving situation. Please know that the safety, care and well-being of all our residents and employees are our utmost concern.
